Zone II XATS 1020 declared as 'Rental Equipment Register (RER) Most Innovative Product 2011'
The Rental Equipment Register (RER) has awarded Atlas Copco Special Rental’s Zone II XATS 1020 with the 2011 Innovative Product Award in the Compressors/Air Tools category.
The RER Innovative Product Award was established in 2003 to honour excellence in new product development in the equipment rental industry. The 2011 awards showcased the most innovative products introduced between Aug. 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011. A panel of industry judges narrowed the pool of entries to one winner in each of 13 categories and our entry of Zone II XATS 1020 won award as 2011 Innovative Product Award in the Compressed / Air Tools category.
Zone II XATS 1020 was introduced in our rental fleet in June 2011 and won this prestigious award for its key innovation, a containerized portable compressor featuring a 15-foot DNV container that is ATEX 94/9/EC certified for Zone 2 hazardous area operation. The Rental Equipment Register highlighted the ZoneAir XATS’s safety and efficiency benefits to rental customers. The ZoneAir XATS uses the latest Zone-2 (Class 1, Div. 2) compressor technology, ensures 8 hours full-load operation due to its 800-liter fuel tank, and provides a Pyroban's 3GP gas-detection system, a proactive system designed to guarantee safe operation in hazardous areas.
