Atlas Copco Rental launches Ecological Footprint Calculator

Atlas Copco has launched an online Ecological Footprint Calculator, available via the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental website. It allows Atlas Copco customers to calculate the ecological footprint of the oil-free and oil-injected high-pressure compressors and boosters, generators and steam boilers that they are using.
The Atlas Copco online Ecological Footprint Calculator is believed to be the first of its kind. It is a free service that Atlas Copco provides to its customers and displays the company’s concern and interest in the emissions of its diesel-driven units.
“The Ecological Footprint Calculator was developed by Atlas Copco on customer and field demand”, says Horst Wasel, president Specialty Rental division. “Every ISO 9001 certified customer makes an annual report which contains their company’s emissions and their efforts to reduce CO2 and other emissions. With this tool they can calculate the expected emissions of the Atlas Copco products they are using. This report will then be added to their emissions overview.”
Just four simple steps (Input, Product(s), Output and Result) are needed for the customer to obtain a PDF overview of their emissions.
