This means being a leader, to lead in the share of mind and in the share of business. To Atlas Copco Australia it means to strive to be seen as an innovator, setting the standards and exceeding stakeholder expectations in all areas including creating a sustainable environment.

In line with the Vision, the company signed up back in 2008 on the New South Wales (NSW) Sustainability Advantage Program, a program that partners the NSW Government with business for the purpose to increase business environmental sustainability. As part of the program the company implemented the Sustainability Advantage Modules including Leadership, Resource Efficiency and People Awareness during 2008 and 2009.

The company efforts have been rewarded.  Atlas Copco Australia received the Bronze Partner Award on Sustainability Advantage Program. The company is part of the few companies awarded Bronze, very few awarded Silver and only two companies awarded Gold. The company was able to provide actual data and evidence on Employee Education & Awareness, Reduction of Carbon Emissions from Transportation and Environment system standardization through branches Environment Management Programs and the effective design & implementation of the Atlas Copco Integrated Management System.

The Bronze Award is just the starting point, the Group’s vision demands much more: to be innovative and to set the standards in the industry, video conferencing, replacement of lighting fixtures, supplier assessments and coaching, are a number of initiatives in the plan.
