Two female Moroccan engineering students describe their Atlas Copco experience

2011-08-19

Up until recently, Atlas Copco was not as well known in universities and engineering schools in Morocco as it is today.

Through its active presence in student forums, it has positioned itself not only as a world leader in its products and solutions but also and especially as an employer of choice.

It was this image that attracted us and influenced our choice of final graduation project for our engineering studies in "Environment and Industrial Safety" at the National School of Mineral Industry. In the project we supported the company’s preparation for triple certification: ISO 9001 for quality, OHSAS 18001 for safety and health and ISO 14001 for environment.

The company's management, and in particular the project sponsor (General Manager) and the project manager (Human Resources), gave us responsibility from day one. An engaged management approach has helped us to have the support of all employees, without exception.

This work was crowned by our being awarded a graduation award and the first "Health and Safety Award" awarded by Atlas Copco Morocco. Both awards were presented by Mrs. Amina Ben Khadra, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, at the graduation ceremony.

Working in such an organization and environment gave us good memories and an experience that we share with any and all students wishing to progress and develop rapidly.

So do you want to join a global leader that ensures fair opportunities and promotes the individual, with particular attention to women’s opportunities? Want to work in a productive environment? Get inspired by and strengthen the Atlas Copco culture of "First in Mind—First in Choice ®"? Well, consider the possibilities offered by Atlas Copco and engage yourself in the future way forward.
