The best use for High, Medium and Low air pressure Compressors

Get to know the best use of the suitable air Compressor different sizes for your factory

The difference between the uses of high, medium and low pressure air compressors

Everyone is always searching for buying the best air compressor that suits his   needs, entrepreneurs and owners of factories and companies, as they are many in this matter, and since air compressors have become an indispensable actor in many industries, the need has become to know the difference between the uses of high, medium and low air compressors is necessary.

What are the different types of air compressors technologies available?

3 categories of air compressors with respect to pressure

Every compressed air application needs certain pressure for normal operation and for easier classification of the compressors, There are three categories of air compressors, calculated according to the pressure that the air reaches, and they are as follows:

Low pressure air compressors

they produce pressure of 150 psi or less, (10 bar or less) used in many workshops, small businesses, auto body repair shops, tire workshops and small manufacturing plants.

Medium-pressure air compressors

whose production ranges from pressure between 150 & 1000 psi (10.4 to 68.9 bar). is used in various industries such as briquette oxidation in petroleum industries, and pharmaceutical factories.

The high pressure air compressors

Produce a pressure above 1,000 psi (69 bar), and are widely used in serveral applications: power generation -Oil & Gas- PET blow molding industry -CNG- Chemical & Petrochemical & - Mining- Marine- Textile- Railway.

How is pressure volume determined?

Pressure can be measured in pounds per square inch or bar depending on the task, while flow is required (cubic meters/second (m3/s) but we generally use l/s, m3/h or cfm.) To put this in simpler terms, pressure refers to the amount of force required to perform a given amount of work in any given period. The air compressor must provide enough pressure to perform a specific task, any value below that will not get the job done. It is important to understand how much pressure is required to correctly sizing the compressor; otherwise, you will have problems getting the job done. Understanding the flow and pressure requirements of a facility is an essential factor when choosing an air compressor. Pressure and flow are two very common terms used when discussing compressed air systems.

What are the uses of low-pressure compressors and blowers?

Blowers and low-pressure compressors are specifically engineered for applications that require a pressure between 0.3 and 4 bar(g). they are used for  different industries with critical processes

What are the uses of medium pressure compressors ?

our compressed air solutions with medium pressure are used for various applications

  • Food & Beverage
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Electronics
  • Plastics
  • Glass
  • Metal
  • Textile
  • Wood
  • Packaging
  • General industry

What are the uses of high-pressure compressors ?

Atlas Copco offers high-pressure air and industrial gas solutions from 15 up to 300 bar3 to 40 hp. The range consists of compressors until 30 bar and boosters until 40 or even 300 bar which can offer the ideal solution if you need to reach higher pressures.
