Case study: keeping industry alive

When a manufacturer of food products for global consumption faced an emergency outage of its compressor house, the company turned to Atlas Copco Specialty Rental for a rapid resolution. Due to the nature of its business, the customer urgently required air compressors which delivered 100% oil-free air - to ensure no contamination of oil in its end product - and were diesel driven to remain independent of the company’s existing system.

Due to our familiarity with the company, its compressed air requirements and its facilities, we were able to act very quickly. We had two PTS 800 air compressors and three PTS 1600 air compressors – both of which are Class Zero ISO8573-1:2010 certified, diesel driven compressors which deliver 100% oil-free air - onsite and subsequently mobilised by the customer within only 24 hours.In addition, two weeks later, we provided the customer with two energy-efficient compressed air dryer systems – the CD400 and CD780. What’s more, as a complete rental solutions company, we also supplied the required fuel tanks, AdBlue tanks, hoses and accessories.

A swift success

Not only were our experts quick to act, but we were able to identify and deliver a solution which met all our customer’s requirements in a short timeframe. This swift response of a total solution, in line with the customer’s contingency plans, ensured minimal downtime for the business in what are high demand times.

To ensure our assets delivered peak performance whilst onsite, our local Sales Engineer and Service Engineers conducted multiple visits to the customer’s site during this time.
