APPLICATION
Primarily for embankments for roads, trenches and backfills or sanitary landfill construction.
COMPACTABILITY
Clay needs high compaction energy. The compaction effect largely depends on water content. Layer thicknesses are normally restricted to 15–40 cm.
EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATION*
Our rammers have high compaction efficiency and are eminently suitable for the compaction of clay, as they are able to transmit the high pressures and shear forces necessary to compact clay at or below optimum water content when its compressive strength is highest.
