ZE/ZA LOW PRESSURE COMPRESSOR RANGE EXPANDS
Antwerp, Belgium and Stockholm, Sweden – November 2001 -- Atlas Copco Airpower gave a significant boost to its screw compressor range for the low pressure market, with the introduction of the new ZE/ZA 3-6 series. It combines the excellent air quality of an oil-free screw compressor with a wide range of pressure and flow variants to meet every customer demand. The all-in-one package is highly efficient in terms of energy, cost and floor space.
Because no two low pressure applications are the same, the new ZE/ZA comes in a wide range of pressure and flow variants, both in air cooled and water cooled versions. Pressure ranges from 1 to 3.6 bar(e), while flow rates go from 460 to 7200 m3/h.
The ZE/ZA 3-6 compressors come as a silenced, ready-to-use package with a long list of components fitted as standard… from an air intake filter to a check valve and a full load/no load regulator. The compressor is delivered with IP55 water and dust proof motor and a built-in starter. The unit is controlled by the renowned Elektronikon control and monitoring system.
Coated rotors, that allows for high temperature operation, AGMA class 13 gears and a vibration absorbing outlet flange are only a few of the many features that minimize maintenance and increase reliability. The unique gearbox breathing system avoids contamination of the environment.
Options include an integrated stainless steel aftercooler, which does not require additional floor space.
Communication modules for MODBUS or PROFIBUS allow for integration in plant control systems.
When dry air is needed, the ZE/ZA can be complemented with an Atlas Copco refrigerant or adsorption air dryer, depending on the application and the air quality requirements.
With its wide variety of pressure and flow specifications and its efficient all-in-one packaging, Atlas Copco is convinced that the new ZE/ZA 3-6 screw compressors set a new standard in the very specific and demanding low pressure market.
