- 1922: Atlas designed its first loader. However, this product was never put into production.
- 1937: Atlas manufactures a rock shovel loader driven by compressed air, the LM 1.
- 1970: The Cavo 300-500 series of pneumatic rubber tired shovel loaders is introduced and quickly establishes a world-leading position in small to medium sized mines.
- 1977: Atlas Copco enters a worldwide marketing and sales agreement with Hägglunds, an innovative Swedish manufacturer of electric and pneumatic loading and transportation equipment for underground applications.
- 1989: By acquiring the U.S.-based company Wagner Mining Equipment Inc., Atlas Copco could offer a complete range of loaders and trucks to the underground mining market.
