1981: Development of rockbolts, the Swellex rock reinforcement system. Swellex is an ingenious system for fast, safe and cost-efficient rockbolting. The bolts are made from circular steel tubes, which have been folded to reduce the diameter. The bolt is placed in a drilled hole and expanded with water using a high-pressure pump.
