Walter Wehtje

Intensive concentration on compressed air products and international marketing

1940-1957: Walter Wehtje

Walter Wehtje  succeeded Gunnar Jacobsson in 1940.

This initiated an era of intensive concentration on compressed air products and on international marketing.

He represented a new kind of leadership in what had hitherto been a technology-dominated company. Previously head of a department store in Stockholm, he was a businessman brought up in sales and marketing.

Walter Wehtje was President between 1940 and 1957. He was succeeded by Kurt-Allan Belfrage.
