Terracore polycrystalline diamond composite (PDC) core bits are designed for drilling in non-consolidated and medium-hard rock. PDC are available as two different types: Diapax (DPX), with brazed round PDC inserts, and Tripax (TRX), with cubic or triangular PDC inserts embedded in a matrix. They offer high penetration rates when they are matched to the right application. PDC is very brittle and must not be used in crystalline formations or formations with crystalline inserts.
Features & benefits
- High penetration rate in non-consolidated and medium-hard rock.
- Cost-effective due to long service life, when matched to the right applications.
