Fitesa Peru chooses Atlas Copco as its strategic partner for the supply of compressed air

Wilrijk, Belgium,  October 2013. Fitesa Peru S.A.C. is a branch of the Brazilian company Fitesa, a global manufacturer of nonwovens. In line with other cutting-edge technology in its plant in Lima, the company selected energy efficient Atlas Copco GA 22 VSD oil-injected rotary screw compressors. These provide a reliable supply of compressed air for production.

For ATLAS COPCO: Koen Lauwers, Vice-President of CT Industrial Air; Geert Follens, President of CT Industrial Air; Alejandro Remy, Sales and Marketing Manager and Miryam Rios, Product Specialist.

Fitesa is a leader in the field of polypropylene nonwovens for the manufacture of disposable diapers, sanitary towels and special fabric used in clothing and related products in the medical line. The company has plants and facilities in eight countries worldwide.

Energy costs minimized

The Atlas Copco GA 22 VSD oil-injected rotary screw compressors installed in the compressor room, with their respective dryers and coalescing air filters, provide an efficient and continuous supply of air to the plant at the levels required.

The elements and motors in the GA compressors are designed to reduce energy costs and overall compressor lifecycle costs. The VSD (Variable Speed Drive) further reduces energy costs by automatically adjusting the air supply to demand.

Fitesa Peru’s modern facilities are equipped with some of the industry’s most cutting-edge technology, and this thinking led the company to select Atlas Copco as a strategic partner for the supply of quality compressed air.
