At the end of November, in fierce international competition, the new Tensor STR61 pistol grip nutrunner won the prestigious 2010 iF design award. The project manager at Atlas Copco Tools was Göran Johansson and the tool will be presented at the iF award exhibition which runs from March until June 2011.

The Tensor ETP STR61 is more than just a powerful pistol grip nutrunner, it is a robust tool offering impressive ergonomic features.

The new motor with improved cooling gives a tool that is up to 45% faster than its predecessors and 30% lighter.

A built-in torque transducer allows best possible tightening accuracy, reducing the need for reworking while ensuring that all tightening data can be recorded.

Together with Red Dot, iF is one of the world’s most prestigious product design awards and the iF website is a very popular design platforms on the Internet. Among the winners was also Mercedes Benz who won the prize for its SLS model.
All prizewinners will appear on the iF website from March 2011.
