Atlas Copco’s patented Rapid Backup Unit (RBU) concept transfers functionality to a non-configured hardware unit, ensuring that hardware can easily be upgraded should functionality requirements change. The RBU also acts as back-up for programming and configuration. If a change of hardware is required, just fit the RBU to the new hardware, switch on the unit and you’re ready. All programming and network configurations are transferred in seconds. The RBU cuts downtime to a minimum.

  • Two stage/quick step/ergoramp tightening strategies to reduce joint relaxation, decrease tightening time and increase operator comfort
  • Torque control and angle monitoring to detect if joint is properly tightened, securing tightening process
  • DS control to measure torque with unique DigiTork algorithm, to assure tightening quality
  • Auto zoom step in ergoramp tightening automatically controls motor braking in different joint conditions
  • CW (clockwise) and CCW (counter clockwise) operations supported
  • Rundown angle, self tap and prevailing torque (PVT) monitoring to secure tightening process
  • Reverse angle to loosen a bolt in a controlled manner
  • Rotate spindle forward supported
  • Click wrench input supported for operation backup, assuring the assembly process
  • Torque and angle control stop the tool when both targets are reached for maximum process control
  • Yield control tightening strategy to utilize maximum bolt tensile strength, thus maximizing clamping force (Power Focus 4000 only)
  • Angle control and torque monitoring for better control during tightening process
  • StepSync, SynchroTork allows multiple bolts to be tightened simultaneously, reducing tightening time and giving better clamping force (Power Focus 4000 only)
  • RS232 port for programming
