Reinject medium pressure to maximize savings
The high pressure compressed air used in the blow moulding machines was traditionally blown off to the atmosphere. Nowadays, many blow moulding machines are equipped with air recovery systems. The recovered air is re-used both for pre-blow and reinjection.
Air coming from the Air recovery system can be re-injected to the pressure vessel and re-compressed into the high pressure booster ... Saving a lot of energy.
But how much energy can you save?
We have measured on our test-bench:
- With VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE ZD: 13kW (17.5 HP) per 100 m3/h (60 cfm) re-injected at 10 bar (145 PSI)
- With FIXED SPEED DRIVE ZD: 11kW (15 HP) per 100 m3/h (60 cfm) re-injected at 10 bar (145 PSI)
