As an extension to the Portable Energy portfolio of compressors and generators, Atlas Copco has decided to transfer the WEDA submersible pump line from the Construction Tools Division (CTO) to the Portable Energy Division (APE).

"The pump business has a lot of synergy with our current product offer, especially with our existing generator customer base in the construction, rental and mining industry. We see in this business an interesting growth potential and expansion for the division," says Geert Follens, President of the Atlas Copco Portable Energy Division.

The first step is the transfer of the sales, service and reporting departments. This transfer will start as of September 1, 2010. The production, currently in the CTO factory in Saint Valery, France will be transferred to the APE production site in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany.
