Atlas Copco Powercrusher

Atlas Copco Powercrusher, before Hartl Powercrusher, has 85 years experience in the stone and quarry industry, and 30 years as innovators of crushing technology.

These 85 years have seen three generations of the Hartl family gathering knowledge about stone.

This knowledge started in their own gravel pit 1935 and allowed the Hartl family to start producing crushers and screeners in the 1980s. Today, the company has around 100 employees, and is located in St Valentin, Austria.
 

  • 1977: The development of one of the first mobile rock crusher: the Powercrusher - a high capacity fully mobile crushing and  screening unit mounted on wheels - developed by Adolf and Franz Hartl
  • 1982: Hartl Powercrusher develops machines for the Western Europe recycling boom, culminating with the first tracked unit being produced in 1987.

Pollock

  • 2000: Alexander and Dominik Hartl takes over the business from their father and leads the company into the new decade.
  • 2003: During the last decade, Hartl Powercrushers has come out with a new generation of products, resulting in several awards. Among them is the Red Dot Design Award "best of the best" for Powercrusher PC 1375 I.
  • 2009: Start up and operation of Powercrusher´s production and assembly facility in St Valentin /Thurnsdorf, Austria. The new production and assembly works will provide the basis for the construction of the most modern mobile crushing plants in Europe, and will ensure availability of the highest quality machines on the market.
  • 2010: Atlas Copco aquires Hartl Powercrushers. New name is Atlas Copco Powercrushers. It will become part of the Atlas Copco Surface Drilling Equipment division. By adding mobile crushers and screeners to the Surface Drilling Equipment range, Atlas Copco customers will gain even more business possibilities.
