How does it work?
It's a matter of timing between the piston hitting the working tool and the recoil from the material being broken.
The recoil energy will be absorbed by the piston on the return stroke and transferred into the hydraulic system.
The recoil energy is then stored in the accumulator to be used on the next impact stroke which will result in a higher blow frequency.
During the operation the breaker is detecting continuously the hardness of the material and is adjusting automatically the level of energy recovery.
