New EPA regulations – will set strict limits on the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. If you operate an auto body shop, these new rules apply to you. For example, all shops that paint cars or do spot painting will be required to perform their painting operations within ventilated spray booths that prevent direct venting of VOCs into the atmosphere.

There’s more. In order to further reduce VOC emissions, paint manufacturers have reformulated their automotive finishes from solvent based paint products to waterborne paints that emit far fewer VOCs.
