Atlas Copco celebrates opening of Phoenix store
Atlas Copco opened the doors to its 14th U.S. store, marked by a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event Feb. 23 in Phoenix. The celebration was attended by about 100 customers who benefited from presentations on equipment features. Atlas Copco chose this location to support the region’s large customer base in drilling, blasting and paving. The store now offers these industries a quality sales team and the easily accessible support presence their customers require.

The new Atlas Copco store in Phoenix recently celebrated its grand opening.
Salesman Greg Ayers said so far customers have been impressed with the 9,050-square-foot facility, which is situated on a spacious 2.5-acre lot and features three pull-through bays. “They are happy to have another supplier for equipment and services locally. We are excited to establish new working relationships and build and develop existing relationships.”
Manager Ed Greer heads up the Atlas Copco team at the store, including Rental and Service Coordinator Jerry Delrae, Project Manager Tim Fagan, and Customer Service and Parts Manager David Arroyo.
Ayers says, “ Phoenix is a center where the bulk of the business for blasting and drilling and paving is done.” He added that the location on the main crossroads of Interstate 17 and Pinnacle Peak Road and its proximity to major highways and ports make the new store convenient for customers.
Customers will find such key products at the Phoenix location as the new model lineup of Atlas Copco surface crawler drill rigs, which includes the tophammer FlexiROC T35, SmartROC T45 and the down-the-hole SmartROC D65. Road construction equipment includes the Dynapac F1000T highway class tracked paver designed specifically for the North American market, as well as Dynapac compaction equipment. Atlas Copco Secoroc rock drilling tools are also available, including cluster drills and a wide range of tophammer and down-the-hole (DTH) hammers and bits. The store will also carry Powercrusher mobile track-mounted crushers and screening equipment.
