Dust filtration for your air compressor

Once dust (or other contaminants like particulates and micro-organisms) enters your compressed air stream, it can have detrimental – and costly – consequences for your downstream equipment and end products.

To protect you and your investments from dust, Atlas Copco has developed a series of top-quality air filters. They ensure that your operation runs smoothly, your equipment lasts longer and your end products meet even the highest quality standards. 

Know your air quality requirements

Find out some useful information on the performance of the DDp+/PDp+ series below.

If you are unsure, and only know that you have to protect your system from dust, then you need to find out your air quality requirements. For some applications, such as inflating tires, some contaminants in the compressed air do not pose any problems. Others, such as applications in cleanroom environments, require the highest air purity.

Knowing your air quality requirements and which standards to comply with will help you select the right air filter, which could lower your investment costs and ensure that you get the most out of your compressed air system. DDp+/PDp+ series

With their pleated design and ribbed housing, these innovative filtration solutions were engineered to cost-effectively provide an outstanding air purity and to meet increasingly strict quality demands.

Their high-performance, stainless-steel cores, in combination with epoxy-sealed caps and a filter housing with anti-corrosive coating make the DDp+/PDp+ series highly reliable.

In addition, smart indicators facilitate the operation of the filters and make optimal maintenance easy.

Service indicator

To ensure constant air quality, the service indicator allows for an easy check of the filter’s running hours, differential pressure, and the maintenance status. It can even send a remote alert.

inPASS™ bypass

In addition to outstanding filters, you also get the revolutionary built-in bypass that allows you to service your filter without disrupting the air flow. To you that means big investment savings by eliminating the need to install an expensive external piping bypass, lower operating and energy costs as well as reduced maintenance times.


The ideal filtration technology

The DDp+/PDp+ series uses pleated technology filtration media. It is the preferred method to capture dry particulate in compressed air. Over time, particles will unavoidably clog the filter media. Because pleated surfaces have a larger surface area, they ensure that filters last longer and experience a lower pressure drop.

Correction factors

When working with other pressures than the nominal pressure, the actual FAD capacity is calculated by multiplying the correction factor with the rated AML capacity. The calculated actual flow capacity corresponds to the AML-stated pressure drop.
