Atlas Copco Rental Peru ensures non-stop production at IMP, allowing them to safely focus on improving their processes

Antwerp, Belgium, June 14, 2017: Since June 2016, when Industria Metalmecánica del Perú (IMP) and Atlas Copco Rental started their long term rental partnership, all production areas can breathe easily.

The compressor room is open since May 2016

IMP is the leader in zinc treatment in Peru and South America, with 96% of its production being exported. IMP operations include the production of zinc in all forms: sheets, coils, alloys and oxides.

For its production process, IMP relies upon an intensive use of compressed air.

When IMP’s air compressors became unable to maintain the stable pressure required for the company’s machinery to work properly and its service supplier could not offer the expected support: a change was urgently needed to guarantee productivity!

The Atlas Copco Specialty Rental team promptly came up with a solution that would exactly match IMP’s compressed air requirements: GA 75 VSD FF oil injected stationary compressors with variable speed drive.

The compressors offered by Atlas Copco Rental are the most suitable for our production system: we are able to modulate the compressed air delivery so that the pressure in the air net remains constant.
