Can you tell us about your journey in Atlas Copco?

"I first joined Atlas Copco in 2007 as a purchasing assistant. I moved from purchasing into Fleet and then from Fleet into Procurement."

As mentioned above, Stephanie transitioned to Mining and Rock in 2016 as a Procurement Specialist. Mining and Rock became Epiroc in late 2018, but she made her way back to Atlas Copco the following year.

"An opportunity arose in Atlas Copco for a Procurement Specialist in February 2019, which I was successful for and is my current role."

What are the key responsibilities in your role?

"In Procurement I am responsible for developing, initiating and managing strategoc sourcing activities by coordinating with key stakeholders and preferred suppliers to achieve beneficial outcomes for the business. I select and evaluate business partners in a professional, objective and risk averse manner to achieve the best total cost, on time delivery and quality"

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

"Growing up I wanted to have a job that involved animals. I loved the idea of being a vet until I realised that included the sad part of the job being euthanasia."

What did you learn from all the lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic?

"Material things are not important and spending time with the people most important to you should never be taken for granted. My son barely recognises most of our extended family as it's been so long since spending time with them."
