It the world of fastening systems we are differentiating between handheld, semi-automatic and automatic fastening processes. In semi-automatic situations we have a system that is operator controlled, most often with a dual handle system that fastens multiple bolts. When going to this type of system some benefits include but are not limited to increased fastening quality, resulting in better clamp forces in the joints, it gives higher level error proofing, i.e. knowing that the correct bolt had the right fastening process, and of course operator ergonomics and safety, where no reaction forces are affecting the operator.
