Women in Compressed Air Scholarship and Apprenticeship
Women in Compressed Air is Atlas Copco Canada’s program that was designed to encourage women pursuing a career in skilled trades and promote gender diversity in our team of Field Service Technicians. In Canada, women make up just over half of the workforce, yet they are significantly misrepresented in the skilled trades industry. Our solution? To offer a 6-month apprenticeship with our team of Service Technicians to develop and train aspiring female Field Service Technicians, combined with a $5,000 scholarship to support costs related to education, exams and developing their tool kit.
We are accepting candidates from the following locations:
- Mississauga - Ontario
- Montreal - Quebec
- Moncton - New Brunswick.
What we offer
Through this program, our apprentices are trained and mentored over the course of 6 months through virtual and in-class trainings, shop work and field maintenance on a wide range of our customers air compressors. Our goal is to give women an opportunity with Atlas Copco to develop valuable technical skills and build confidence in their capabilities as technicians. Once they are confident and road ready, they are signed on as permanent Atlas Copco Service Technicians!
This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate from one of the following programs:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Industrial Electrician
- Instrumentation and Controls Technician
- Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Maintenance Mechanic
- and other similar technical programs, pre-trade or pre-apprenticeship programs
Our applications period for 2023 is open from July 24th to September 15th.
