Atlas Copco IAS inaugurated a new facility in China

On Aug.22, 2017, Atlas Copco Industrial Technique (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the customer center of Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS) Division in China, opened a new facility at Chedun Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai.

Tobias Hahn, President of IAS Division, Jon Johnsson, Vice President Business Control, Olaf Leonhardt, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Tomas Lundin, General Manager of ITBA China Customer Center, senior managers from China Holding Company were invited to the grand opening ceremony.

After an exciting opening show, Manfred Hafner, Genernal Manager of Atlas Copco Industrial Technique (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. delivered a warm welcome speech in which he introduced the overview of this facility. As the largest customer center of IAS Division, the new building covers an area of over 7,000 square meters, including office area, showroom, service workshop, warehouse and production lines for SCA and Henrob. Approximately 130 employees will work in this new facility.

Tobias Hahn congratulated the opening of the new customer center. "I am glad to see the strong growth of IAS business in China over the past three years. With the inauguration of a new customer center today, we will strengthen further our market presence." said Tobias Hahn at the ceremony.
IAS is the home of Henrob self-pierce riveting and SCA dispensing solutions. Headquartered in Bretten, Germany, SCA was acquired by Atlas Copco in 2011. Henrob joined the Group in 2014, which has its main facilities in the US and UK. They both serve the customers worldwide in the automotive and general industries.
