Mayday: unexpected breakdown at production plant! Roger that, Atlas Copco Rental is already on the way

When an Italian company specialized in civil and military aviation faced an unexpected breakdown of their compressor, Atlas Copco Rental Italy was immediately ready for take-off. Within 24 hours, the plant’s production was off to a flying start again thanks to an electric driven oil-free air solution.

The distress call arrived at our office first thing in the morning. The plant’s compressor broke down and it was critical to get a replacement as soon as possible. Sales, rental desk, logistics and service fastened their seatbelts and put all hands on deck to deliver a customized solution including an electric driven oil-free air compressor with integrated dryer (ZT 160 with variable speed motor) and matching accessories so the customer’s production did not remain in the front line for too long. This operation took us 17 hours: from the initial phone call, to designing a tailor-made set-up.
