Atlas Copco Egypt celebrating the Swedish National Day in Cairo
Cairo, 14 June 2022 – The Embassy of Sweden in Cairo and the Swedish Business Community celebrated Sweden Day under the theme “Swedish Business – Pioneering the Possible”. The event was attended by Egyptian officials, the diplomatic community, politicians, civil society and Sweden’s friends and partners in Egypt.
The event included an exhibition where 13 leading Swedish companies presented their latest innovations, products, and services, allowing guests to experience their offerings first-hand. The exhibition showcased how Swedish companies have integrated sustainability into their business practices and how sustainability can be leveraged as a competitive advantage and lead the economy towards a green recovery.
“I am proud that some of the largest and most successful multinational Swedish companies are established in Egypt, creating thousands of jobs in the local market and working to promote Swedish values such as sustainability and innovation.” said Swedish Ambassador Mr Håkan Emsgård.
It is worth mentioning that Swedish companies have invested significant amounts in Egypt over the last few years. Today, more than 30 Swedish companies are active in Egypt, creating more than 15,000 jobs and contributing to exports and growth of the Egyptian economy.
Robert Koeck – Regional General Manager of Atlas Copco Egypt marked this day by a special bulletin that is published in the "Egyptian Gazette" Newsletter on how Atlas Copco industrial ideas drive society forward and this is through our strategy in innovating for a carbon-neutral future with air supply solutions that curb or even eliminate CO2 emissions by sourcing green energy, solar panels, low energy lights and reducing wastes.
Minister of Finance,Dr. Mohamed Maait was attended the celebration with representatives of the diplomatic and political community and pioneers of civil society in Egypt where we intorduced Atlas Copco as a world leading provider of industrial productivity solutions and how we have been serving Egypt customers in a wide range of markets, including general engineering, manufacturing and process industries, construction, automotive, electronics, oil and gas, with innovative, reliable and energy efficient solutions.
Atlas Copco received a good media appearance thru the advert & the press release within the “Egyptian Gazette” Newsletter in its annual supplement on the occasion of the Swedish National Day, which is one of the widely read newsletters in Egypt and around the world. Robert Koeck presented the experience of Atlas Copco for more than seventy years to review the company's business strategy with highlighting the company's efforts in achieving sustainability in its business practices and take the advantage of it as a competitive advantage & discussed about the importance of the private sector in environmental recovery. He also talked about the great ideas that the company offers to drive development by Creating lasting economic, environmental and social outcomes, our innovative products and solutions enable everything from sun to site in addition to our main community engagement initiative “Water for All” that supports communities with limited access to clean drinking water, to prevent acute health risks and help people to build a better future.
