Compact generator for offshore wind projects

The Power Module 70 (PM70) is a compact, high-performance generator engineered specifically for offshore renewable energy applications. The Power Module 70 can be installed on the offshore asset as a combined unit via the installation vessel or crane in a single lift. Its dimensions allow for the installation of up to 4 Power Packs on a 20ft flatrack. During mobilization, demobilization, or asset rotation, each PM70 can be split into four sub-units under 1,000 kg, allowing safe and efficient handling via a TP crane from a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV). 

 

Despite its lightweight design, the PM70 delivers robust performance:

 

  • Handles heavy inrush currents from large electric motor startup, ideal for wind turbine operations.
  • Smart configuration enables one unit to act as a backup, reducing fuel consumption and extending service intervals by activating only during peak demand.
