Flash steam in geothermal plants is significant with the aim to take high-pressure hot water from deep inside the earth and convert it to steam that drives generator turbines. To do this process, initially, our customer relied on a third-party company by using different products to flash steam its wells. For a 2 kilometres-deep well, the flashing process took 3 days to complete.
Then in 2020, the geothermal energy company made a strategic decision to invest in the wells' maintenance by purchasing Atlas Copco's V1200 portable air compressor and B7-42/2175 booster, which used to maintain and flash steam their wells four times a year.
