Atlas Copco Rental UK supports bioethanol plant with temporary nitrogen installation

18 October 2018

Ensus CropEnergies, located in the North East of England, is one of the largest production plants for bioethanol in Europe. They have an annual capacity of 400.000 cubic metres of bioethanol and 350.000 tonnes of dried protein animal feed. Ensus turned to Atlas Copco Rental UK to safeguard this production capacity with a temporary nitrogen installation.

After receiving an email campaign on Nitrogen generators, Ensus contacted Liz Hall, Sales Engineer for Atlas Copco Rental UK, because our membrane generators range would perfectly suit their nitrogen requirements. To ensure personnel’s safety, the customer had to cool an onsite tower for a desiccant replacement with nitrogen of 99,9 % purity at a flow greater than 40 Nm³/hr. Liz went over to the customer’s location to carry out a site survey and go through all the available equipment. Taking into account all the project’s needs and possibilities, the NGM 280 & ZT 55 appeared to be the perfect match for this project.

In the Rental Business, rapid actions are often very crucial and part of the full service support we are offering. For this project, that resulted in the equipment being delivered on site and installed the next day and the commissioning being carried out the day after. Because we believe in a two-way process, one of our service engineers offered an onsite training to all Ensus personnel. The package was on rental from the 9th until the 21st of August. “We were very pleased with supplied equipment, and because of this great collaboration we’re looking into an additional request” For their next rental equipment, we have recommended a larger feedair compressor (i.e. ZT 75) to provide the customer with extra flow which will reduce duration of the cooling process.
