SQS3 Scalable Quality Solution 3 - Product Training

Welcome to the SQS Product Essential Series. This series of educational videos are presented by Atlas Copco’s Product Marketing Specialist, Jason Dubendorfer.

SQS | How to add a Manual Acknowledgement

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. For work steps that do need a tool, such as pick light or other peripherals, users are able to add a manual button. This way, the operator can indicate the step was complete.

SQS | How to add a progress bar

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. It can be scaled to fit anything from single-station builds with one product, to multiple stations with many applications - and anything in-between. Watch now as Jason covers in-operator guidance, including why visual indicators are key to alerting operators to time remaining. This indicator is good for both operators as well as line supervisors.

SQS | How to add an operator

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. Adding an operator answers who did what, when, and how, so that actions can be traced back to specific operators. The SQS system allows users to add as many operators and levels as required.

SQS | How to add a scanner

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. Scanning is the most common way to get a unique identifier into the SQS software. Additionally, scanning gives the user a way to enter serial numbers of parts added to product builds.

SQS | How to add an image

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. Why add an image? Adding images helps guide the operator through the build process. Users will be pleased to learn that SQS can handle multiple images per work step, if required.

SQS | How to add a tool controller and tool

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. The SQS software can communicate to most any tool controllers via open protocol. In this video, Jason will walk through the steps to add both a tool controller and a tool to the SQS software system. Additionally, SQS software can also communicate to digital I/O tools.

SQS | How to add a bolt case

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. By adding bolt groups to your operator guidance, the operator can follow the proper order in which the bolts are to be tightened. Additionally, when adding bolts, the user can also assign the proper tool and tightening program to each bolt. Doing this ensures the highest-quality product.

SQS | How to add text

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. By adding text, the work step can then be described to the operator.

SQS | How to push an update

Atlas Copco’s SQS solution eliminates errors in product manufacturing or assembly. Why bother creating an update? Jason recommends it as it is essential in getting the proper build information from the configurator to the actual operator guidance. From there, updates can be applied in a number of different ways so as to not interfere with production.
