The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak spreading across the world has been classified as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). As the number of confirmed cases in India continues to be on the rise, creating a situation that has seen no precedent, Atlas Copco is according the highest priority to the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and local communities.
Our crisis committees have been activated and are meeting daily to assess and monitor the prevailing conditions. As a responsible corporate citizen that values employee and customer safety and health very highly, Atlas Copco will comply with all government notifications and health advisories.
We will, however, continue to focus on strengthening and maintaining support to our customers and partners.
We are constantly reviewing our business continuity plans due to the rapidly changing scenario, and while making every effort to support you in the best way possible, our schedules and commitments could change due to changing circumstamces. We are taking a number of measures to ensure our best support to you:
· Our national as well as global crisis committees are focusing on assessing the rapidly changing situations and recommending the best and safest course of action.
· We are reviewing our contingency plans to deal with the uncertain and volatile scenario.
· Our employees are working from home, and all offices remain open virtually and are available for calls, emails and all inquiries, as we are equipped with all digital tools required to support you remotely.
· We have put in place safe procedures to ensure we are following all health advisories and guidelines and have implemented social distancing and all other recommended safety and health measures.
We are an agile organisation and work with flexibility to respond and act fast, as far as possible, even in unpredictable situations such as the one created by the COVID-19 crisis.
All of us need to be involved and engaged in protecting ourselves and each other and flattening the curve of the spread of this virus.
