Atlas Copco (India) Ltd., a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, announced today that it handed over its 50th Drill Jumbo – Boomer L2D machine for the Indian market, made at its Nasik facility, to a leading customer.
Giovanni Valent, Managing Director, Atlas Copco (India) Ltd., handed over the key to Arpit Singh, Executive Director and Amit Kumar, General Manager Procurement, APCO Infratech Pvt Ltd.
This is the 50th Boomer L2D made in India since production of these machines started in the country in 2011. Manufacture of this range in India, meeting the highest global standards is a proud example of ‘Make in India’ from Atlas Copco.
This boomer will be used for one of the APCO Infratech Pvt Ltd’s prestigious tunneling project named Z Morh. The 6.5 km-long road tunnel project is part of a strategic plan to convert Srinagar-Leh highway into an all-weather road. This would avoid the regions of snowfall and avalanches and ensure smooth connectivity via a two-lane, 10 meter-wide tunnel.

We will continue to focus on high quality standards to cater to the demand from all markets- domestic and international.”
“Atlas Copco has been First in Mind- First in Choice® for customers and prospects in India, Bhutan and Nepal who are involved with tunneling projects covering hydropower, irrigation and traffic (road and rail).
