Gautham introduced the fundamentals of bolting systems, emphasizing their significance in ensuring operational efficiency and safety in critical applications.

A bolting system refers to a mechanical fastening method that uses bolts, nuts, washers, gaskets, and flanges to securely join components. These systems play a crucial role in industries such as construction, engineering, machinery, and oil and gas, offering strong, reliable, and often removable connections.

Station 1 Continuous Rotation

The first station was conducted by Joe Chong, Business Manager of General Industry in Southeast Asia, on SRBHA Battery Nutrunner as a prime example of continuous rotation technology, designed specifically for large bolts requiring torque of up to 4000 Nm.

Secondly, the station on Torcflex Hydraulic Torque Wrench hosted by Gautham Painaidu, Business Development Engineer of Heavy Industry, exemplifies the innovation in Atlas Copco's smart wrench systems, focusing on safety, efficiency, and ease of use: Enhanced Productivity: The new Co-Axial coupling and hose system minimizes fatigue and streamlines the bolting process, leading to faster operations. Safety Features: The retained reaction arm is securely attached to the tool, significantly reducing the risk of drops and ensuring operator safety. Smart Functionality: The Torcflex incorporates advanced features that make it an intelligent tool for fieldwork, laying the groundwork for future smart wrench innovations.

Station 3 Smart Tensioner

Mr. Vincent Foo, Malaysia Authorized Distributor PRO AC Bolting Equipment sdn Bhd, introduced Smart Tensioner by Atlas Copco is a comprehensive solution for bolt tensioning, consisting of three essential components. The Airbac tensioner from Atlas Copco is a revolutionary tool designed for bolt tensioning, offering significant advantages over traditional spring return tensioners. It operates with patented air-assisted technology that allows for retraction speeds up to 4.5 times faster than conventional models, eliminating the need for manual piston retraction. This not only speeds up the process but also enhances safety by reducing operator effort and minimizing the risk of injury, such as tennis elbow. The tensioner is highly durable, with corrosion-resistant plating, and provides consistent performance with each charge. It is particularly useful in industries where high efficiency and safety are crucial, including oil and gas flange applications.
