Rand-Air (Atlas Copco Rental South Africa) commissioned for Mondi’s annual shutdown
Antwerp, Belgium, September 3, 2015 – International packing and paper group Mondi relied on Rand-Air for the supply of power and air during the annual shutdown of their Richards Bay Mill, to bring in a high pressure compressor for the first time to complete this process.
3 September 2015
During their most recent shutdown, it was Rand-Air who was commissioned to ensure that the electrical and compressed air supply was maintained during their shut period. Mondi and Rand-Air had already established an excellent relationship during previous projects. But this type of project was a new way of working for both parties. With a reputation of exceeding customer service and expectation, Rand-Air delivered on this by providing a number of quality and reliable oil-free compressors and generators to the project. The combination of excellent customer service coupled with a superior range of equipment is what sets Rand-Air apart from its competitors.
This was the first time that a high pressure machine was used and the results were positive ... Our technician was on site at all the times to safeguard against any glitches and this enabled the project to go ahead smoothly ... We are proud of the role that we played in the project and it is one of the most successful shutdowns for Rand-Air.
