What’s your personal motto? Do it with passion or not at all.
Can you tell us something surprising about yourself? I haven’t watched any Harry Potter movies.
Why did you choose Atlas Copco for your internship?
I was inspired by my brother who is now a licensed Electrical Engineer and who also completed his internship at Atlas Copco. As an Industrial Engineering student, I believe that it is very important to have my internship experience in a reputed organization like Atlas Copco.
I am currently gearing towards the end of my college education, and at this point, I am working on improving my skills in online digital platforms and applications. The internship made me realize that digital platforms and data analysis are the future of work even after this pandemic, so I am striving to learn new platforms and embrace digitalization and technology.
What would be the highlight of your internship experience with us?
The fact that I was accepted as an intern during the pandemic was a huge deal for me. But the things I really look forward to are our virtual meetings every Friday. To be honest I was really nervous every time but it was very motivating, and I could tell that my mentors from really wanted me to get the most out of my internship. They gave me a lot of insights about their works, I truly learned a lot from my superiors like the value of communication, collaboration, and being responsible and receptive.
How is it doing internship during the pandemic?
Despite not working in a traditional office environment, I still wanted to make the most of the experience, so I really took my tasks seriously and although it was work from home set up, I see to it that I am really doing my tasks during my work hours. The experience was of course different but Atlas Copco made it work for me, and it contributed a lot to my professional growth as it improved my skills, knowledge, attitude and values towards defining my career goals.
When Jilein asked if she will be back to work with Atlas Copco in the future, she excitely answered, "Yes! I would definitely do. It would be an honor to be part of Atlas Copco’s mission on sustainable productivity."
