A week in the life of... Kanza

This week we celebrate International Women's Day by looking at a week in the life of some of our female employees here at Atlas Copco.

Kanza Rizwan – Service Planner, Compressor Technique Services (CTS) Pakistan

WOMEN'S DAY
It’s been almost four years that I have been working at Atlas Copco and it means family to me as this place has nurtured me as a resource, polished my skills, and helped me grow. I work with the CTS division as a Service Planner. My job is to align my team in a planned fashion so that we can serve our prestigious customers in an efficient way. I implemented the MAM and Planning Board in our country, which benefited both my service team and me. I have a strong connection with my service team and our customers all over Pakistan and Afghanistan, which makes my position integral.

Monday

I begin my week with the internal weekly meeting as we particularly discuss our week plan and talk about the concerns, which were left unattended or need attention. Secondly, my prime focus after the weekend is to tap my customers, issue and assign job reports to my service team so that they can timely report in data.

Tuesday

Among the various software that I am using here at Atlas Copco, mainly SCALA, Planning board and MAM2 usage are maximum and I make sure accuracy persists.

Wednesday

As I liaise with finance and logistics, I make sure all my deliverables are done on time as I gauge my service team's utilization and report to finance for accounting purposes.

Thursday

Moving forward, I am working on the AirScan project. I am pitching the concept and brief to the customers on how they can save energy and provide recommendations for tangible improvements.

Friday

I ensure to gauge the weekly utilization of my service team on Fridays, which ultimately helps in the monthly reporting. At the same time, I compile the service Revenues attained from the service jobs in order to see what percentage Services have contributed to the targeted business.

Being a mother of 4 months' child, I am thankful to Atlas Copco for making sure that work-life balance is maintained, and my family time is not compromised at any expense. I particularly enjoy working here because to me it feels like ‘home’, home where I feel comfortable, where I just feel right, the place which feels mine.
