Protect, speak up, report, plan, PPE, and tools were among the safety messages provided by our leaders.

Horst Wasel, Vice President of Atlas Copco Holding SE-Asia & Oceania encourages everyone in the firm to speak out if they see anything that is unsafe. He believes that learning about job safety should never end. "Do not underestimate that the accidents can't happen at home. Risk observation at home offices should be carried out, especially given that some of us work from home", he advised.

Khalid Shaikh, General Manager of Malaysia & Singapore, makes a humble request to his colleagues to always "be mindful of any risks when approaching the office, workshops, or any other facility in the company's vicinity and make sure that the risks are documented."

"It is crucial to have a safe work plan in the workplace and job site to decrease the possibilities of injuries and increase the potential for success and the confidence for team members," said Samer Baninaser, General Manager of Brand Portfolio SEA.

Bart De Jaegar, Regional General Manager, emphasized using the appropriate PPE and tools at the right time and location for employees.

Kennis Chow, Regional Supply Chain Manager from Power Technique, spoke about protecting ourselves and others, Tiu Kian Sheng, Finance Manager from KL Hub, explained how to respect the restrictions safely. Doris Sim, the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Manager, shared the manual handling of objects that we deal with regularly.

Rules and Guidelines for Safety at Work

Catherine Taylor, Human Resources Manager, added value to the event by providing a Wellbeing message and a video featuring the 5 Steps to Wellbeing.

At the close of the event, Doris showed the videos by Mats Rahmstrom, President and CEO, and Sofia Svingby, Vice President of Sustainability on the Environment. Both shared the relevance of Science-Based Targets in enabling the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

The event was then wrapped with safety quizzes, which included questions about Atlas Copco's safety and health policies, making the occasion more enjoyable and educational.

We appreciate all our leaders and employees for their time. We hope Atlas Copco will always remain a safe place to work for our people.
