Ultrapac Sudamérica is the plastic división of the Company Integrity S.A., wich has three production plants: recycling, extrusión and thermoforming, whose function is to generate PET plastic packages for the food industry. Its main production focus is related with the packaging of berries, for which high quality transparent clamshell containers are produced.

Due to the quality of its products, Ultrapac requires efficient solutions to carry out its projects. Therefore, at the moment of centralizing the vacuum supply used at the thermoforming plant and with the objective of strengthening the original supply system, they have replaced 6 oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pumps for the Atlas Copco oil-sealed rotary screw vacuum pump with variable speed drive (VSD) technology, model GHS 1300 VSD+ to self-regulate the supply and generate important energy saving.

One of the main motivations for using the vacuum pump GHS 1300 VSD+, was that the Atlas Copco engineers presented a series of proposals that managed to live up to what we expected, and also proved to be trustworthy as they showed themselves committed to the maintenance and supervision of the machine

The reliability provided by Atlas Copco and variable speed drive screw technology incorporated in the pump were crucial for the decision. The variable speed drive allows for automatic modulations in the requirement of the plant supply, which represents an advantage for us, especially in low season
