Introducing SME⁺ – Where PLUS begins and PES filtration evolves

SME⁺ marks the next generation of Atlas Copco’s PES membrane technology. Now available in two specialized grades - Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical - it’s designed to provide safe, reliable, and efficient bioburden control and sterilization of valuable liquids. The filters feature a single-layer asymmetric, hydrophilic PES membrane with low extractables and minimal protein binding. PET support layers and nylon end supports enhance wettability compared to polypropylene alternatives. Each grade is constructed with materials tailored to its application, ensuring optimal compatibility and compliance. The cartridge is integrated into a robust cage making it suitable for nearly all operation, service and cleaning conditions with improved number of SIP cycles versus the SME.
