A non-intrusive visual inspection of the compressed air system, including pipework, ancillaries, drains, and even the room itself, can all be quickly checked and can usually reveal a way to save energy, money or increase ISO compliance.

New rotary vane vacuum pumps up to 15% more efficient
Our new GVS A range of oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pumps is cooler, quieter and up to 15 per cent more efficient than the previous range. Extremely reliable and compact, they are suitable for use in both research and industrial production applications. Flow rates are from 16 to 700 m3/h, motor ratings between 0.75 and 15 kW and ultimate working pressures between 0.1 and 0.5 mbar.

Severn Trent is using oil-free screw blowers in water treatment plants
Severn Trent Water has installed reliable and energy efficient ZS oil-free rotary screw blowers from Atlas Copco at six of its water treatment plants. This forms part of a major infrastructure refurbishment programme, including upgrades to its Rapid Gravity Filters process installations that require low pressure air for sand de-scouring duties.
