Practical advice for air compressor & industrial gas users during COVID-19.
1. 6 tips to reduce compressed air energy costs
If you have to reduce production at your manufacturing plant during the corona virus outbreak, you may welcome the chance to save energy costs. Check out our 6 tips for reducing compressed air energy costs.
2. Step by step advice for stopping and re-starting air compressors
If you need to switch off your air compressors temporarily, and re-start them at a later date, follow our compressor stopping and re-starting guidelines.
3. Here to support you with service and parts
Atlas Copco UK is taking steps to ensure we still provide the best possible service to our customers, despite the challenges presented by the current situation. It is important to keep vital compressed air and industrial gas equipment serviced to improve up time and reduce the risk of breakdowns. Rest assured that our service engineers are working in new ways to maximise safety and, during a service site visit, they will follow your site rules, and government rules, stringently. Our production and distribution teams are working hard to continue availability of spare parts, especially maintained for optimum performance and avoid interruption to your production. 4. We are offering virtual sales and post-contract meetings
Whilst our focus naturally remains on the wellbeing of our employees and our customers, we are still very much open for business. All our office-based staff are now working from home. Our sales and post-contract teams are available to make site visits if essential, however we are encouraging the use of digital collaboration technology, such as Teams, to carry out meetings on-line. We have had very good feedback from customers about using Teams, so there's no need to wait to talk to us until a physical meeting is possible.
5. Remote diagnostics of your compressor installation
At this time when you are more likely to be working from home, remote connectivity with your compressor installation could help you know the status and be able to react on it from a safe distance. SMARTLINK 2.0 will transmit the operational data of your compressors to our remote diagnostics center, which will constantly monitor the incoming events, allowing us to detect and therefore propose an action plan to prevent any critical situations or downtime in your system. To access the service, simply register yourself on the portal: smartlink.atlascopco.com
6. Consider a flexible pay as you go contract for compressed air
if now is not a good time to invest in a new compressor, we can swap your old fixed speed compressor for a new VSD+ model under an AIRplan contract. The minimum period for an AIRplan contract is three months, then the plan can be cancelled if need be. AIRplan costs are predictable and transparent, consisting of a fixed fee plus a variable fee based on the actual running hours of the compressors. With regular maintenance and upgrades included in AIRplan, it offers you the flexibility of having your equipment adapt quickly to downscaling or upscaling. We have flexible solutions available for your on-site nitrogen and oxygen generators too.
