Customer challenge
A steel plant needed a quick steam solution after shutting down its blast furnace to cut emissions. To keep production going with imported steel, 11 barg steam was required.
Our solution
We provided four 16 t/h steam boilers, flexible pipework, blowdown tanks, and economizers to boost efficiency. Our team handled installation and provided 24/7 support.

Reliable steam support during a critical production shift
At an industrial plant for the manufacture of steel, hire boilers were required in quick response to the closure of manufacturing assets and the loss of steam production from existing boilers. In line with the site’s ambitions to reduce emissions, it closed its blast furnace, which was used in the manufacture of primary steel, in preparation for launching an electric arc furnace. During the change, the site continues to operate by milling imported steel.
To support ongoing site operations 11 barg steam was required.

Our solution featured:
- Four 16 t/h industrial steam boilers and all the necessary accessories
- Flexible pipework for seamless integration
- Two blowdown tanks to safely remove scale-forming solids
- Three modular economizers to maximize efficiency by transferring residual energy from hot exhaust gases to boiler feedwater, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
