In 2024 Atlas Copco Energy Storage Systems were used to power the entire main stage at Lollapalooza, which lead to 67% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in comparison to prior years. BESS are not only capable of reducing emissions and fuel cost, but they also provide a noise friendly alternative to traditional power generation.
BESS utilized for telecom operations can help extend the lifetime of the generator by reducing generator runtime during low loads. The generator produces power that can be stored within the BESS and released when higher loads are required. This hybrid solution helps avoid power failure from wet stacking issues and reverse power.
