What are mobile BESS used for?
Mobile BESS can be used in a wide range of industries, with improved operational efficiency and decreased noise/emissions being the main contributors to BESS usage. With the market for BESS expanding rapidly, the number of use cases will increase as the product is adopted in more markets across the globe.
Crane Operations
Crane operations are usually characterized by short peaks and long times of idle generator time, which can cause wet stacking issues in the generator. When used in combination with our BESS, generator size can be decreased significantly as the power output of the BESS alone can cover the peaks. The long periods of lower loads can also be covered by the BESS, while the generator charges the batteries, increasing operational efficiency dramatically. Another great benefit of utilizing BESS with tower cranes is the ability to accept reverse power from regenerative braking. The bi-directional inverters inside of our machines will accept this power as a "free charge", further increasing time between charges.
Construction site trailers
Temporary power to worksite trailers is another application in which our BESS excel. With power demand varying throughout the day, our BESS can provide the power needed during the day and charge overnight, improving operational efficiency and making low noise operation possible.

With an increase in battery powered construction equipment and electric vehicles in general, the need for Level 2 and 3 charging has subsequently skyrocketed as well. Our BESS can provide temporary EV charging for construction equipment in remote areas and can provide the power needed for equipment that is utilized in underground operations.
