4100 Nm torque made handy

In 2015, Atlas Copco introduced the first RTP 4100 high-torque nutrunner. A tool that even then amazed with enormous power in an extremely handy format. Now the company is introducing the further developed, latest generation of this pneumatic powerhouse: Equipped with a slimmer gearbox, the even more compact RTP 4100C model enables access to narrow screw locations that are inaccessible to ordinary impact wrenches or nutrunners.

The RTP is a low-vibration pneumatic tightening tool for flexible assembly with high torques of up to 4100 Newton meters. Due to its impact-free tightening, this tool is a real workhorse and suitable, for example, for thread-friendly (pre-) assembly work on wind turbines and in mechanical engineering as well as for general bolting or in the rail sector and construction. With its high performance, the RTP 4100C covers threaded connections from approximately M35 to M45.

Despite the significantly smaller dimensions, the powerful nutrunner does neither  compromise on durability nor on accuracy. In addition, the reduced tool weight also further improves operator ergonomics and handling, the manufacturer promises: The smallest center-to-center distance of the RTP 4100C, including the included torque arm, is only 47 mm, which allows it to loosen or tighten very closely spaced bolts and nuts in the tightest of spaces. And with its universal 1-inch square drive, the high-torque screwdriver can be fitted with a wide variety of sockets for a great variety of bolt heads, screw heads or nuts.

The so-called swivelling function, in which the motor and gearbox can be rotated freely, is extremely practical for the user. This makes the tool even more maneuverable and easier to position on the joint. This makes assembly easier, especially in confined spaces, and the operator can adopt the most comfortable working posture. In addition, a dual start mechanism called the Dual Safety Trigger ensures that both hands are on the tool during operation, keeping them out of potentially hazardous areas and pinch points.

The powerful RTP high-torque nutrunner is optionally available in a practical kit: The "productivity kit" with flow-optimized air preparation unit, hose, couplings and torque arm made of high-strength construction steel provides users with all essential components. The desired torque of the RTP is set via the air pressure, which works particularly easily and reliably with the pressure regulator and pressure gauge included in the kit.
