Past experiences with competitor leads to a favorable opportunity with Atlas Copco Rental

An American Steel manufacturer turned to Atlas Copco Rental after they lost one of their two centrifugal compressors, which threatened to delay their current project. The steel producer needed supplemental air to complete the process, and were unhappy with the service they had received in the past from one of Atlas Copco Rental’s competitors. Because of these reasons, Atlas Copco Rental saw an opportunity to initiate a valuable relationship with customer.

While the Steel producer had been historically difficult to break through it was thanks to the service division, our sister company’s influence and their emergency state that Atlas Copco was able to make an introduction. The service team and Atlas Copco Rental got in contact with the producer when the project was in the midst of falling apart. It was then that, Area Sales Manager, John Mccloskey informed the customer about our products, which include a monitoring system and on-site support. The state of the project and knowing of our reliable products inspired the steel manufacturer to sign Atlas Copco Rental as a vendor shortly after.

In order to complete the project we provided the customer with 3 x PTS 1600 oil-free air compressors, 2 x 1500 Dryers, and a fuel tank. Thanks to being able to remotely access the equipment and the support of technicians in case they need it, the customer was so satisfied with Atlas Copco Rental’s service that they ordered 3 diesel solutions once they removed their stationary compressor.
