Project Engineer - Engineering

The Role

The Industrial Air engineering department is looking for a project engineer to join the team responsible for product quality and product improvement.

As the engineering mission is ‘safety first, quality always’, our goal is to increase product quality, by preventing and solving technical problems. In addition, we assist production and improve existing products.

To do this, the project engineer coordinates activities in all departments to make sure problems are solved effectively and efficiently (timing & cost), and the product complies to the specification.

To decrease the failure rate, warranty cost and leaks, the project engineer will do design reviews in the projects, as prevention is better than cure.

Specific aspects of the job:

• Analyze data from the field to understand and predict problems (through CTS and Smartlink)
• Initiate and follow up design changes and their release (mainly in gecia)
• Define a testplan 
• Follow up tests and interpret test results with test engineer
• Decide on solutions/product improvements
• Discuss with suppliers
• Coordinate/align with production, purchasing, marketing and service
• Share lessons learned
• Perform design review of projects of colleagues
• Assist production 

What we expect of you?

• You have a strong technical background
• You have a strong analytical ability
• Experience of working in a team is a plus and you can take the lead in a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of the usual IT tools
• You can express yourself well in English

Education

Technical background, Master in Engineering or Industrial Sciences.
